In Honor of the Mendocino Volunteer Fire Dept.
May they serve us well and may they each feel honored by this monument
Volunteer firefighters are always receiving new training to perform better for whatever emergencies come over the radio. Whether they are doing medical calls, cliff rescues or rescues from jet skis in the ocean they risk everything on each call. They don't get paid and when the call goes out, they drop their work to help people. I highly respect them!
That is why last year when our local fire department built a substation near us we jumped at the chance to donate a sign for the building. This 22"x48" redwood sign has a sandblasted background. All the letters, scrolls, and lines are raised and painted with UV rated acrylics. The inlines are painted on top of the white letters. It was a joy to give back to the people that give so much to our community.
